Condolences

Condolence From: Andy Endsley
Condolence: I wish to express my condonences for the passing of Dick Lesoine. I first met Dick when I started at IBM on second shift in 1966. He was the shift supervisor and his patience and guidence greatly helped me assimulate into IBM. A few years later I again worked for Dick when he was a manager. My career moved away from this area but I would see Dick from time to time at the Pok site. I also invited Dick to my 25th anniversary in 1991. I would occasionally see him at the Wilbur fields. I have 2 interesting stories. As a young person I had a 66 mustang which was stolen from the IBM parking lot on 2nd shift. Dick had trouble believing someone would actualy "steal" a car from the IBM site. It was later found early in the morning. I'll always remember the look on his face in complete denial that this could happen. He asked, "could your brother have taken it, "no he's in CA. etc, etc.

The second memory involved his antics on the golf course. We would play golf on Monday mornings since we didnt have to work till 4 pm. Well, one day he hit a ball into the pond, and the old 3 wood went in right after. We all had a huge laugh about that.

I last spoke with Dick on a condolence phone call when his brother Peter passed, as I had been in the Army Reserves with him.

I will always give great credit to Dick for my successful start at IBM.
