Bruce E. Moore passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY at the age of 64. Born on April 25, 1952, he was the son of the late Paul and Norma (Gellner) Moore. Attending Carnegie Mellon University, he graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical Engineering, going to work for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY. On September 17, 1983, he married Diane Hess in Pittsburgh, PA, she survives at home. Bruce was a member of Tau Beta Pi and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He will be remembered for his interest in science, astronomy, and tinkering with cars. He is also survived by his daughter, Sheila R. Moore of Poughkeepsie, NY and his sister, Beverly Richards and her husband David of Richland, WA. Bruce is pre-deceased by his sister, Pamela Rummel, who passed in 1994. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:00PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:00AM in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
