Obituary for Anthony H. Rigothi

Anthony Henry Rigothi passed away on May 8, 2018 at the Thompson House, joining his wife of 70 years, Julia. He was born in Wappingers Falls on June 11, 1914, the son of Henri and Nicoletta Rigothi. "Onty" was a 45 year employee of DeLaval Separators Company where he was a member of the company softball team and bowling league.
He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and a lifelong golfer at McCann Golf Club. He was known for his love of yard work and love of the outdoors. Anthony was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church in Poughkeepsie and an usher there as well.
He is predeceased by his wife, Julia Ritz Rigothi, sisters Stella Boldrin, Jenny Shontell, Helen Hausch, Yola Kilmer, Vera Kipp, Anna Cervini and a brother John who died as a child. He is survived by a daughter Julie Lambert (Fred) and a son Anthony, grandchildren Eileen Achtau (Eric), Christopher Rigothi, Sean Rigothi (Anne Marie), Julia Rigothi and one great-grandson Michael Patrick Rigothi.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 9:15am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Rd., Poughkeepsie, NY. Entombment will immediately follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
